We, the technology smitten souls, are so lost and engulfed in the upcoming trends, that a lot of us have forgotten the essence of limitations.
In the past couple of months, we have seen a number of deaths, solely because of one’s enchantment towards capturing a perfect selfie. But what I fail to understand is carelessness of these grown-ups, who think life is too feeble to be taken seriously.
Case in point, a 22-year-old Russian model, who is being heavily criticised for her photo shoot, off a Dubai skyscraper, sans safety measures.
Viktoria Odintsova, the St. Petersburg-born model, has been posting snippets from her shoot on her Instagram account.
I still can’t believe I did it. Every time I watch the video my palms go sweaty,” Odintsova wrote in a recent post.
Even though the video gained over one million views, it’s being massively reprimanded.
“A very bad example for the youth,” “This is so dumb, i have no words for it. Seems like some 11-year-olds want to get attention at all costs,” “crazy! looks like god gave you beauty, but seems like he forgot to grace you with a brain” someone wrote on the post.
It’s almost like this has become a fad amongst model these days, to perform such activities without forethoughts.
Another Russian daredevil, the 23-year-old ‘roofer’ Angela Nikolau, was making headlines a couple of days ago for attempting the world’s most dangerous selfie.
